Group Offering for Women in Public Life
Embodied Leadership Circle: Human-Centered Coaching for Campaigning and Public Leadership
A four week virtual coaching and peer-learning circle for women running for office, considering a run, or currently serving in public leadership.
There are many excellent programs that teach women how to run a campaign. This program addresses a different question: How do women remain grounded, authentic, and connected to themselves through the emotional intensity of campaigning and governing?
Campaigning and public service place leaders in constant relationship with judgment, rejection, conflict, visibility, urgency, and competing expectations. These experiences do more than test campaign skills. They activate deeply held patterns around worth, belonging, power, safety, and responsibility.
The Embodied Leadership Circle helps women develop the inner capacity to meet these experiences with greater awareness and choice. Participants explore how their thoughts, emotions, bodies, and unconscious patterns influence their leadership—and how the presence they bring affects the way others experience their message.
Using a practical self-leadership framework of awareness, acceptance, understanding, and aligned action, participants learn to:
• Recognize their patterns, strengths, and protective responses under pressure
• Build awareness of themselves and others through the Enneagram
• Communicate with people whose motivations and perspectives differ from their own
• Access the information held in emotions and the body
• Speak and connect from grounded presence rather than performance
• Navigate criticism, conflict, rejection, visibility, and uncertainty
• Maintain alignment between their values, message, and leadership
• Use campaigning and public service as opportunities for personal growth
Each virtual gathering combines a focused leadership topic, facilitated reflection or embodied practice, confidential peer conversation, practical coaching, and Q&A grounded in participants’ current experiences.
Topics may include staying grounded while knocking doors, speaking authentically in public, asking for money without attaching the answer to one’s worth, working constructively with fear and anger, leading across difference, maintaining boundaries, and staying connected to oneself in highly visible roles.
The circle can be offered as a facilitated cohort series or as individual workshops for an existing network.
This is not campaign strategy training. It is the inner leadership development that helps women use those strategies without losing themselves.
